I've seen recently that MightyApe has listed the next book in the True Blood series up for pre-order!
I'm pretty excited for this one, I think I'm only a few books away from the end of the series. I've really enjoyed the books so far, so this can't come soon enough. The newest book has been titled 'Deadlocked' and is the 12th book in the series.
More info.

Bishoujo Figure size comparisons
I have now collected quite a few of the Kotobukiya Bishoujo figures. Since I own a few I thought I would post a few size comparison photos for people thinking of buying any of the figures.

Mass Effect Nail Art
On a journey somewhere on the internet, I came across a blog all about
nail art. She had lots of cute stuff, and said she used acrylic paint!
So having a ton of acrylic paint I thought I would give it a go myself!

Marvel Jean Grey Bishoujo Figure
Jean Grey arrived for me yesterday with Poison Ivy. I love the way these figures are packaged, they never turn up damaged or broken during shipping. When I finally managed to pull her out of the box (she was by far the most difficult to remove,) I noticed she was in the same packaging as Wonder Woman. The plastic packaging wasn't two separate parts, it was all one piece that basically wrapped around her.
I noticed a few other differences.

DC Poison Ivy Bishoujo Figure
A few more figures arrived for me today, one of those being Poison Ivy. I wasn't too sure about this one, even looking at preview images. When I got her out of the box, I was glad I added her to the list of figures I own!
Like all of the other Bishoujo figures, she was packed really well and there was no damage to the figure in shipping. My first impression was that; although she isn't too tall; she's wide! She has a very wide stance, and possibly the biggest base in the range. She's completely assembled ready for display, screwed onto the base.

DC Catwoman Bishoujo Figure
One of the first figures in the Bishoujo range by Kotobukiya I purchased was actually for my fiance for his Birthday last year.
I've never seen Catwoman out of the box until this weekend when I
decided to photograph her. It surprised me when I realized Wonder Woman wasn't the only figure that came with instructions. However I found I didn't need them.Sunday, 18 March 2012
"The Art of the Mass Effect Universe" Collector’s Edition review
waiting for – The Art of the Mass Effect Universe, Collector’s Edition (limited to 1500 copies.)
He purchased it directly from the BioWare store, we couldn't find it locally. The shipping was steep but we found out why the shipping was so high when it arrived.
Mass Effect 2 Scale Replica of the Normandy – Cerberus Version Review
At the end of last year my fiancé (huge fan of the Mass Effect video game series) purchased a scale
replica of the Normandy, the main ship from the game.

DC Wonder Woman Bishoujo Figure
The other figure that arrived with Supergirl on Tuesday was Wonder Woman.
I've had my eye on this one for awhile, she took my interest more than the others in the DC range of bishoujo figures (so far.) She doesn't disappoint.

DC Supergirl Bishoujo Figure
What sparked my interest in blogging was when a large package arrived for me yesterday.
In the package were two figures I ordered on ebay. While removing them from the boxes and taking photos I realized most people don't even know I buy these things, and would maybe like to know. I also like taking photos of stuff, so why not review things like figures? There are lots of blogs out there that do just that, so I'll give it a go!
I've been collecting figures released by Kotobukia called the Bishoujo series ( There are currently several groups within the Bishoujo series, I've been collecting DC and Marvel). Bishoujo basically means pretty girl. I have a few in my collection already, but I'll start with reviewing one of two that arrived yesterday.

Small beginnings
I decided yesterday when some figures arrived for me, that I could probably do a good job of reviewing them and the other geeky stuff I buy.
So why not start a blog! On here I'll post little reviews, mostly about stuff I buy and no one knows I do! It'll be nice to share my geekery to a wider audience!
I'll start tonight with my first official blog post about one of the two figures that arrived and sparked my blog intrest!
