ReBoot Complete DVD Collection

When I was younger I loved watching ReBoot, and ages ago I was trying to source DVD's of the show. I didn't have much luck. The DVD's released were old and rare, so it was too much trouble. On one of my many ebay searches a few weeks ago, I randomly tried again to see what I could find. Low in behold, between my first interest in the DVD's and my second try, I found they had released the entire series as box set!
Needless to say I ordered the DVD's right away!

It arrived yesterday and I picked up The Definitive Mainframe Edition 9 disc set from the post office this morning! :D (always a bugger when you aren't there when the postie comes the first time..)

*squee*
Brand new and sealed, with 3 boxes inside the outer box. I don't think this was released anywhere out side the states (but I'm not too sure on that.) The DVD's are Region 1 and NTSC - So DON'T order this if you have nothing to play it on! (You need a Region free player.)

Ok so here's what you'll get if you buy this set:

Top: Two inner boxes with 2 slim packs in each, and one slim pack containing one bonus DVD
Bottom: A little booklet with the episode break downs, and some fan art, and the outside box to hold it all in.
First up, impression of the boxes it's all held in. The boxes are ok, they're quite thick, but they aren't the most sturdy of boxes I own. If you're gentle, they'll last well. Just don't lend the pack to someone who isn't careful!

The back of the outer packaging.
The 3 parts to the set.
Inside the main box you get the three parts. Seasons 1 & 2, Seasons 3 & 4, and the bonus features slim pack DVD.
In each of the two boxes containing the TV episodes, you get two slim pack cases, with two discs in each.
(For seasons 1 and 2, you get 4 discs.)

Nice illustrations on the boxes!
Inside the slim packs. This is seasons 1 & 2
What I really like about this set is all the little details that make it so cool. Again, more illustrations on the discs, and there's a picture of mainframe behind all the DVD's. I think this set was really well thought out, and would please any fan!

Another little detail that's cool:
Next to each episode, it tells you when it aired in the States! Cool little detail, love it!

I watched the first two episodes when I got home, and for how old this show is, the computer graphics used to create the show still look really good! I think they didn't try to computer animate anything that was too crazy, kept to basic shapes for characters (other than the main characters.) I think it's aged very well!

Over all, I'm SO pleased with this buy! I can't wait to watch it all!
